Marie Alazard joined Kern & Weyl in 2020. She is registered at the Paris Bar since 2021 after obtaining a Master II degree in Literary, Artistic and Industrial Property from the University of Paris II.
She is Of Counsel at Kern & Weyl.
Marie Alazard assists French and international companies in the protection of their intangible assets, particularly in the automotive, fashion, cosmetics and real estate sectors.
She advises and litigates before the courts for French and international clients in intellectual property law (copyrights, trademarks, designs, patents) and in unfair competition and parasitic practices as well as before the INPI and the EUIPO in administrative proceedings (filings, oppositions, invalidity actions, revocation actions).
Her working languages are French and English.
Experiences
- Representation of one of the main company in the French automotive sector in a legal action against a competitor in the context of the imitation of a reputed trademark before the French courts (Court of First Instance, Court of Appeal) and before the European authorities (EUIPO, European Union Court) in the context of administrative procedures relating to trademarks.
- Defending a network of real estate agency franchises in the context of an action for trademark infringement, trademark nullity and unfair and parasitic competition.
- Representation of trademark owners in administrative proceedings before the INPI, the EUIPO and the Paris Court of Appeal.
- Advising major automotive brands in their logo change strategy, risk analysis.
- Legal compliance of the new e-commerce site of a major car manufacturer.
- Legal compliance of digital advertising campaigns of two major car manufacturer.
